n 1990, a chance encounter with a homeless father and son changed the life of Denny Hancock forever.  With the support of family and friends, Denny founded Mamma’s Hands and, in 1995, the HOUSE of HOPE.  Our mission is to help those in crisis regain their self-respect and help them become productive members of society.  With the help of countless volunteers and donors, Mamma’s Hands has grown into a powerful force for good in the Seattle area.  We hope you will take time to explore this site.  Click below to learn about Mamma’s Hands’ story.

From Tina's blog: "Over the past two decades, Mamma’s Hands has been blessed to open three shelters for women and children. Each is called the House of Hope, but these are more than just houses; to hundreds of people they are the home they have always needed and dreamed of.
